Abandoned After Death

Chris and I set out on the weekend for a full day of exploring.  We left around 9am and didn’t get home until after 6pm!! Of course.. we found some great blog material for you so I decided to start with the simplest,  yet intriguing house we explored at the end of our adventurous day. I unfortunately didn’t do a lot of photos of this place because we were growing tired and were on our way home. On the upside, I did do video though!! (Scroll to bottom for video).

This house was located on a very busy road but, we were still concealed by the growth of Mother Nature. As we approached, the door was wide open and very inviting!!

Almost right away, we noticed a wallet with its emptied contents right next to it. There was gas cards, ownership, and pictures of wee ones. I took note of the name on the cards and ownership to research later and came to find Mr. Cassie had passed suddenly on June 23rd 2015 at the age of 67.

At first, this didn’t look like the home of a 67 year old man but as we explored, things started to come together.  There was a chair used for the bath tub indicating health issues,  an old projector, old video camera and more!

The upstairs had a room that still had a bunk bed with mattresses and sheets. Our assumption would be, possibly his grandchildren used that room when visiting? What do you think? Check out the video, drop your comments and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel! More adventures coming soon 😉

  1. This is fascinating yet a little creepy at the same time. I’ve only come across pictures in abandoned houses a handful of times, out of the literally hundreds of places I have photographed. All with some sort of permission to enter, of course. Your blog is wonderful, by the way! Thanks for sharing!

    1. Many thanks my friend!! Some places we stumble upon we don’t think will be interesting but, after researching can all of a sudden become the most interesting! This was one of those places 😊. P.S….have subscribed to your blog…love your pictures!!!
